Liepāja Special Economic Zone Joint Stock Company "NORPLAST PIEMARE" (formerly "Piemare AS") was founded in 1992 and is one of the oldest stevedoring companies in the port of Liepaja.
In 1998, the company was granted the status of a commercial company of the Liepaja Special Economic Zone.
In 1999, LSEZ "PIEMARE" a / s received a Free Customs Zone certificate for the right to use special customs control measures in the territory of Liepāja SEZ, which gives the right to indirect tax relief.
In 2014, LSEZ “PIEMARE” joined the holding AGROLATS GROUP.
In 2021, the shares of LSEZ "PIEMARE" were acquired by SIA "NORPLAST", which is one of the subsidiaries of the Norwegian capital company NORPARTNERS, which specializes in the production and assembly of fiberglass elements. The company changes its name to Norplast Piemare AS.
Liepāja Special Economic Zone Joint Stock Company "Norplast Piemare" specializes in the production of large composite products for the oil extraction industry and in the production, installation and shipment of floating closed fish cage systems from its own terminal in the port of Liepaja. The terminal also offers cargo storage in closed warehouses with an area of almost 3000 m2.
